School Open House

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in person open houses will not be held until further notice. A private tour can be arranged by calling our school office at (905) 273-3344.

Meadow Green Academy of Excellence features school open houses several times during the school year. The school open houses are held on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm at both the Queensway Primary Campus which contains our Pre-School/PK, Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 classes, and the Lakeshore Senior School Campus, where we operate our Middle School Program consisting of Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6, and our Senior Program consisting of Grade 7 and Grade 8.

Each school open house provides the opportunity to meet with teachers, the campus principal, Mrs MacKenzie – the school founder, tour the premises, and review current student work and teaching materials. We invite you to drop in, take a tour and explore the options we provide for your child to obtain a superior education at Meadow Green Academy of Excellence.

You are welcome to call ahead, and pre-schedule your visit, specifying any particular points of interest you may have while attending the open house, but this is not required.

Our Director’s Message may be of interest to you as it outlines Meadow Green Academy’s Academic Philosophy which guides our staff along the path to providing children an enriched education.

If you have already decided that Meadow Green Academy of Excellence is the school of choice for your children, why not bring along the completed Admission Forms for us to discuss and review?

A summary of our entry requirements for new students can be found on our Admission Procedures web page. We also provide by way of an email auto-responder found on our Contact webpage the admission procedures, admission forms and other pertinent admission documents in pdf format.

Thank you for your interest in Meadow Green Academy of Excellence, where we provide the individual student attention, and education quality, parents expect when providing for an enriched private school education for their children!

International Students Study Program

Meadow Green Academy offers a limited number of places for international students.

Meadow Green Academy is located in Mississauga, which lies next to the city of Toronto, and forms part of the most diverse and dynamic economic region in Canada. Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world and also the business capital of Canada.

The maximum number of students in any class is sixteen and up to three international students may be accepted for each of our elementary classes. This small class environment and the integration of Canadian and international students is of great benefit to international students. It allows the teacher to give international students individual help in class and facilitates communication between international students and native English-language students.

In addition to receiving a great deal of help within the class, international students also participate, if needed, in an English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) class each day.

Meadow Green Academy is an interdenominational Christian school. The school adheres to the educational guidelines set out by the Ministry of Education (for the province of Ontario), although more advanced educational curriculum is completed.

Please note that the school year in Canada begins in September and ends in June. All fees must be paid by certified cheque, money order or a wire transfer. The amount of $1,800.00 is non-refundable and is applied to the tuition fees. In the event that the applicant does not receive a student visa, all fees with the exception of the non-refundable deposit, will be returned. Once the student visa has been approved, there is no refund of the year’s fees. If the student leaves during the academic year, there is no refund of fees.

For further information please refer to the Admission Procedures for International Students and the Fee Schedule for International Students which are available upon request.
