Our stimulating and intellectually challenging, Junior Kindergarten program focuses on core academics, skill-building and activity-based learning. We provide a flexible schedule of full or half days to suit the individual needs of families.
Phonics, printing, journal writing, storytelling, oral comprehension and reading are a daily focus. Story time, which includes Bible stories, is a regular feature of our program.
Numeracy, addition, subtraction, fractions and patterning, together with using manipulatives, increases the children’s understanding of mathematics.
Themes such as Autumn, Apples, Our Bodies, Magnets, Christmas and Community Helpers, delve into the areas of science, social studies and culture. Our teachers use a wide variety of Montessori materials, to enhance students’ knowledge and thinking.
